Jelle de Jonge is a Dutch filmmaker whose work bridges mainstream appeal with a distinct personal voice. His tragicomic road movie De Terugreis was selected as the Dutch entry for the Academy Awards and won the Golden Calf for Best Film, confirming his talent for crafting emotionally grounded and accessible cinema.
